The ML4AU GitHub Organisation

Since the ML4AU Community of Practice began, one of the core challenges faced has been gathering resources for the ML research community in a central location. As a HPC admin, I’ve been excited to share any work done here at MASSIVE with other organisations who may be able to build on the documentation or tools we’ve developed, and I’ve been equally excited to learn from the work other institutions are doing.

Likewise, machine learning and HPC training happens across the country, and keeping track of it all is a full time job of its own! Initiatives to gather eResearch training materials into a searchable catalogue is underway with the launch of DReSA (Digital Research Skills Australasia), and you’ll notice on the ML4AU website we have sections for training and a pool of trainers (which you can join if you contact us!)

In response to these challenges, we’ve launched the ML4AU GitHub Organisation, a place where we can gather training materials, useful tools and scripts into one central location. While I’ll be posting some scripts that work on the MASSIVE M3 SLURM Cluster, the hope is that other eResearch institutions can contribute their own tools and scripts and materials as the community grows. Stay tuned, and keep an eye on the repository in the meantime!
